I thought this collar would hold up better than it is. The threads diverge along the edges of the collar. Therefore 3 stars for longevity, robustness and workmanship. The clasp holds great. The reflectivity of the collar is excellent.

I am impressed with how reflective this collar is and the metal clasp is a very nice feature. I also like that it's soft for the dog's comfort. This has replaced our Kong collar with a plastic clasp and appears to be much more durable. The dog weighs 30 pounds and does not need to wear a collar. We walk him in harness, so there were no "squirrel" tests.

Changed from 5 stars to 2 stars because the metal pieces on either side of the clasp have broken off so it no longer clicks or locks when the other side is pushed against it. I would give 1 star if I paid more but you get what you pay for and this collar was cheap! I put his old collar on him temporarily while I need to find a new one. Terrible! Was expecting it to last much longer.

I'm changing my rating because a 16 pound Pekingese shouldn't break a metal clasp that easily. I liked the reflective strip; but the metal is too thin! I bought two collars and both broke in the same place. The small spot on the top (side) receiving side of the clasp must be defective for a 16 year old dog to break it; then the puppy (1 1/2 years old) made exactly the same break.

I bought this collar because I found the metal connections to be easier to detach. I need something I can quickly take off in an agility ring at the start of a run so I don't waste seconds removing the collar and leash from my dog. I would give this collar five stars but the connector is a bit sticky. However, it is easier to remove than the plastic. The collar is very pretty and reflects properly in the dark when my headlamp comes in contact with it, making it easy for me to find my dog in the
