Try it as soon as you get it

I use this brand quite often and I have a problem for the first time. It looks like this batch had a quality control issue with one of the straps snapping when I was bending it to fit the end in the lock.

Broke on first use - Cycling

I received these today, I decided to fit them to my bike and when I bent them to get around the seat post they broke and are now unusable . I've had this set for 4 years and they still flex and work great so I wanted a second set.

Pros
  • Bike locks
Cons
  • Available in white only

The locking mechanism is badly damaged

I first discovered this by attaching it to the seat rails to carry it around. To my surprise, slight vibrations while driving caused it to fully unlock. Confirm this by locking it and gently rocking the rear end back through the lock. Opens in seconds without a key. Seriously, it doesn't get much better than holding the frame in place with a helmet strap.

  • Accessory
Cons
  • Big and chunky

It's not safe. Don't lock up anything of value.

One of these cable ties broke right out of the box. The other is no longer blocked after a month of use. The two ends slide over each other fairly easily, so you don't even have to use a wrench to pry it open once it's tightened. And yet, after about a dozen uses, the device becomes unusable. Use at your own risk.
