Lightweight and Easy to Use.

I used these on an electric fence wire to hold the tension around the pasture. There were two holes in the center to feed the wire through and then start to tension. These work very much like a ratchet tie down and get the job done. They are made of cast aluminum/galvanized steel and the coating seems solid enough that they should last for a while. They tighten nicely using a 9/16 wrench and seem to hold the tension very well. The fact that 9 come in a package makes this a good amount for a…

Pros
  • {}
Cons
  • May not come with instructions

Anything tied together using these aluminum tie wires will stay secure and are strong enough to hold cattle in even when they are rubbing on the barbed wire to scratch an itch! I need 1000 more of these and will keep using these on everything- wire fence related- whether chicken pens, cattle fences or even hog pens- they are that good! Great find with a hundred uses!

Pros
  • Can repair and maintain your fence quickly and easily
Cons
  • May not hold up to vandalism or theft

almost identical to what I have installed already

The biggest benefit of this was a set of 9. We have old ones installed so this is a nice backup to have when the current tensioners fail.Build quality feels good. Only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is because:- The locking mechanism is always engaged. The ones I have you can flip it out so it doesn't automatically lock. This makes it easier for install- The outside walls are tight around the spinning mechanism which can make it difficult to spin. This is really only a problem when you…

Pros
  • HITTITE & Others
Cons
  • May be expensive for larger yards

Off-label use good for me

I confess, I did NOT buy these hooks for any fence. :) I was looking for an implement flexible enough to adjust by hand, but rigid enough to snake into my vacuum cleaner to clear out clogs. (Cat hair, man. It's the worst.) And, yeah, these hooks are it! I had no problem shaping them to fit around the bends, and yet they were still strong enough to clear the way. I'm eyeing a few other uses too--with a pair of pliers to crimp a loop, the hooks will make excellent hangers. 10/10 recommend!

Pros
  • High Tensile Strength Wire Ties
Cons
  • May not offer complete privacy

Rough finish but they'll work

These aren't super high-quality or pretty, but they'll work for what we need them to do on our rural residential property. They were painted silver during the galvinizing process, so they look about as you would expect. We're rating these four stars, because on the one hand they are as they were described, but on the other hand their utility is inferior to what steel tensioners would offer.

Pros
  • Easy to install without any complicated tools
Cons
  • May not be as effective as other fence options

TL;DR: 4.5 stars, would buy again, a high quality product, would benefit from hex drive, slightly inaccurate description.I’m a hobby farmer or homesteader scale tinkerer. In collaboration with a neighour we experiment with a small herd of cattle and are just starting to build our our electric fencing systems. This is the first tensioner of this type I have used.General impressions are very good to excellent. Making such a device perfect would only drive up the cost so some good compromises on…

Pros
  • Offers peace of mind knowing your pet is secure
Cons
  • May not withstand high winds or extreme weather conditions

Very heavy duty. for my opinion

These and larger and seem more substantial then I was expecting. They work fine with my tape electric fencing and also with some fairly heavy non electric wire. You will need an open ended wrench to tighten them. It appears that they will weather well, being made from aluminum and coated steel. They work great.

Pros
  • Adds an extra level of security to your property
Cons
  • May not be covered by a warranty

Good value and Work Well

I've used these types of wire tensioners for years and this one is as good as any. They work great at keeping fence corner posts square and rigid. Aluminum and stainless steel will not rust.

Pros
  • Great sturdy wire tensioners.
Cons
  • May not be compatible with non-chain link fences

Difficult to Use, Not Galvanized

I found these Electric Fence Strainers to be difficult to use on my newly strung electric fence. There are easier ones on the market that are galvanized, which I realized these are probably a mixture of aluminum and something else. I do not think I would buy these again.

Pros
  • Can be used for commercial or residential fencing
Cons
  • May require frequent maintenance or cleaning

Smaller than I thought

We have 67 acre farm that is mostly fenced. I thought these would save me a trip to the store when we needed to fix fencing after moving the cows later in the week. They came quickly but are a lot smaller than the ones we have used in the past. They seem to work okay. Time will tell.

Pros
  • Agricultural Fencing
Cons
  • May rust over time

Quick and easy to tie!

Hooked on end to made installation quick and easy but you may need to use some sort of pliers or tool to wrap other end. Especially if you want the very end to wrap tight. Needing a tool will just depend on your finger strength and desired outcome. I installed quite a few with no tool, without gloves my thumbs were starting to get sore, again this just depends on how tight you want the very end wrapped. This is not a negative on the product, just the nature of the tying fence. You could easily…

Pros
  • Long-lasting and weather-resistant
Cons
  • May only be available in limited colors or styles

Thinner than I expected but they will work.

These aluminum wire ties work but they have a smaller diameter than I expected. The size is in the product description so it is my fault for not verifying. I can say that I expected something close to the diameter of chain link fencing since it’s in the title. They do make chain link in different diameters but I have never seen any chain link anywhere near this small. The ties are about as thick as a 14 gauge solid electrical wire. A more recognizable comparison might be that they are a little…

Pros
  • Adds a stylish finishing touch to any chain link fence
Cons
  • May require additional reinforcement to prevent sagging

Strong and worth the money to stretch heavy fence wire!

I use heavy gauge wire for fencing due to deer/ elk and bear tearing down my fences. These stretchers work awesome and I highly recommend them!

Pros
  • Convenient by Hand
Cons
  • May require additional tools for installation

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not a product I would recommend

I bought these to reinforce the bottom of a chain-link fence. I do not recommend purchasing these for that purpose. They are not as sturdy as you would expect and certainly not long enough to keep the fence down if anything, or anybody, is pushing on it. They do help, but they need to be much longer if you want them to stay.

Pros
  • Ideal for those who have a large property with a chain link fence
Cons
  • May require professional installation for best results

HITTITE 100-Pack Chain Link Fence Dog Fence Slats HookI requested these because one of our dogs occasionally likes to chew her way through the kennel fencing! This can be fairly frustrating and has lead to some poor ad hoc emergency repairs. These aluminum strips work great for quick, easy and more consistent repair of the fencing. The 100 count should hopefully last us a while! The photos on Walmart, provided by the manufacturer, do more justice to the product than any I could add.Explaining my

Pros
  • A must-have for all pet owners with a chain link fence
Cons
  • May not be environmentally sustainable

Easy to bend for my opinion

These are a noticeably thinner gauge than some other ties and therefore very easy to bend without pliers. Good for just insuring the fence stays in place. Might be a little more vulnerable to coming loose than the thicker gauge ties, so, if for example you have a stubborn pit bull you might rather opt for the thicker gauge - either that or use more of these ties. Nice to have this option.

Pros
  • Structures & Hardware
Cons
  • May bend or warp with exposure to extreme temperatures

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for what they are meant for.

I used these to secure "dig defense” grills at the bottom of my chain-link fence so my dog doesn’t get out. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Made with heavy-duty aluminum for durability
Cons
  • May take more time to install than expected

Just what I was looking for

I needed to get some of these to fix the fence in the goat pen. They attach easily, bend without too much effort, and get the job done. I think they are a bit pricey compared to the ones in the big box stores (and perhaps a little less sturdy) but they were delivered right to my door so I can’t complain too much.

Pros
  • Helps keep your pet from running away or escaping
Cons
  • May not be a long-term solution for fence repairs or maintenance

Great little winches

Using these to winch my sail shade. Secured to anchors with small carabiners, then used wire cable to attach to sail shade. Works great.

Pros
  • Patio, Lawn & Garden
Cons
  • May not fit securely onto all chain link fences
