Both items are marked as dishwasher safe. However, when I used it as it was meant to be used as a "debaucher" it immediately started drawing liquid into the pen for some reason. Then he started smelling and making drinks taste horrible. Maybe I just misunderstood. I put it on the top rack of the dishwasher and it didn't help. The pen only filled up.

Very well made product. I've never had it and I'm very happy with it. I'm not too excited. My main reason for buying it was to use it for blending cilantro. I don't like cilantro, but I've found that mixing it in first takes away some of the acidity and makes it spicier. So big compliments to this product!

I dig a set! I've never had a pestle before and it makes crushing cherries so much easier for my old fashioned one! The rubber base makes it difficult to chop fruit and other foods. The additional cocktail stick that comes with the kit is also nice. I could see this making a good gift for a cocktail party or old fashioned drinker.

I've spent some time looking for a good inexpensive Mudler. Stainless steel, rubber, wood, many options. Works great! Good size and weight for hands. I use it like a mortar and pestle and it works really well! I can use both sides when trying to crush something through a fine mesh sieve like ginger only to get ginger juice without the ginger pulp! A nice plus is that the material doesn't stick to the tangled end. falls beautifully! Very convenient to use and use force when crushing something hard.

I bought this set specifically to make mojitos. What a big deal! I used to have a concealment tool, but this one worked better and felt better in my hand. It didn't macerate the mint leaves which was nice. What I didn't expect was how much I liked the mixing spoon. I've never had a spoon made specifically for mixing drinks and it worked great for mixing in a highball glass. Very impressive that this is stainless steel at this price point.

Really nice set. I used to use old school sticks, this one is longer and nicer. The spoon is fun, the end of the fork makes it easy to take olives and cherries out of jars. I wish the spoon was a little bigger, but then again, I'm an old bartender and used to using the spoon to layer and stir drinks. The head of this spoon is tiny, making layering shots and drinks difficult, if not impossible. I consider the spoon just a bonus, I bought a bungler.

I bought this particular pestle because of its design and because I lost my previous one when moving house. I am very glad that I bought this manipulator. This pestle has grooves and is great for mixing fruits and herbs. This one works a lot better than the ones that end up being smooth. The grooves on it break fruit much faster. It comes with a very handy mixing spoon. I will be buying another one to give to my best friend who makes mojitos regularly.

Strong and beautiful pen. Problem? 1) The black part of the ram is too hard. The hard plastic is of good quality, but the shape and the fact that it doesn't do anything makes it less effective (IMO). 2) Water enters the handle. I've hand washed it and washed it in the dishwasher - both get water on the handle. My husband and I tried to see if the black part came off for washing but it doesn't.
