Save money and buy more expensive BMW radios that replace well-known brands.

This unit is completely out of order, the internal amplifiers are not working, the reversing camera has never worked properly since it was installed. Bluetooth audio quality for outgoing calls was very poor, almost impossible for hands-free calls. Save money and buy a more expensive replacement for a BMW branded radio.

FAST plug and play for BMW X5 06

This would have been true plug and play for 2006 BMW X5 without DSP and 40 pin connector only with original CD player should be (No navigation screen). Installed on 2003 BMW X5 Audio System with Business CD and no DSP. The device turns on but cannot be heard through the BMW speakers. I have sent the seller a message with my problem but have not received a response. After some research on the BMW forums I've come to the conclusion that the red and blue/white wires in the radio harness need to be connected together in order for the stock amp to be powered by 12V. Great but some flaws

Fairly good radio. Looks high quality and has all the features I expected. Only a few criticisms keep me from giving it 5 stars. 1) The rear camera flickered and then died and stopped working - will order another one and see if it works. Update: The connection instructions were wrong. I hooked it up to a 12v power supply called "reverse 12v" coming from the back of the radio and disconnected it from the reverse lights and now it works.
