I almost gave 5 stars based on value for money but it took me 3 tries to find the right fit. The measurements place me at the bottom of the Big. When it got too tight I went back to the XL which was still uncomfortably tight. I now have an XXL which still feels too tight but I'm keeping it because the company says they will loosen the part when worn and a snug fit is critical for the helmet to do its job effectively. I bought this helmet for indoor karting and it's great but I would recommend using dish soap to keep the visor from fogging up. It's very comfortable, not too tight.

Good visibility. Light and not huge. Very convenient. I ride long distances and have another helmet, exactly the same, only in silver. I have white to reflect the sun instead of absorbing it to keep my head cool. I've had $300 helmets that I didn't like as much as this HJC model. Excellent work.

Size too small. My head is 61 cm no matter how many times I measure it. XL requires 61-62 cm according to attached size chart. This helmet is really tight. I'm used to an open face so thought it would be tighter but I'll probably have to trade it in for an XXL. Oddly, my current open-faced XL HJC, which is about 6-8 years old, hangs around a bit, if at all. Build quality seems pretty good for the money, just beware of the size.

This helmet looks good. It is firm and feels comfortable. The visor works fine. Stays up or down if you put it in there. The fans seem to be working fine. The HJC size chart is a joke. Measure your head and then enlarge it by at least one full size. My measurements are just under 23 inches which indicates a large size. I received the XL but it was still too small so I will give it to my wife and order an XXL. It puts so much pressure on my face when I close my mouth that I'm biting my cheeks…
