Great Value Arc Welders

Again buying Revain tools because it's cheaper and quicker than going to the store. These sticks work well and will burn on light metals.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Good but not great

The possibilities are endless

The possibilities of steel making are endless, with these rods I have built steel beams from old bed frames, the top beam of the chain link fence and the steel sheet of the wall. I also made firewood shelves from an old shop window and scrap metal from a landfill.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Dear

Good all-purpose stick

Best stick for rusty or galvanized steel. Can work on AC or DC+ machines. Size 3/32 is perfect for a 110VDC+ inverter machine that plugs into any standard outlet. If you try to use 1/8 rods, the welds will get cold (will not weld through) because the 110v outlet just doesn't have enough power.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Is the plastic container in one piece?

I bought these sticks specifically for the plastic container they come in because the worst thing that can happen to sticks is that they absorb moisture. So what do I find when I open the box? The plastic container is torn and has a quarter-sized hole. And then, to make the injury worse, someone taped the hole up thinking it would fix everything because everything is fine now. So much for keeping dry!

Pros
  • Welding and Soldering
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

. I have a small 90A 120V welder that I like for its ease of use

I have a small 90A 120V welder that I like for its ease of use, portability and convenience . However, he is very picky about what he will burn because in truth he is a little too weak. I've had no luck with 1/8" and was able to get good penetration with 3/32 7018 when I had a great power supply, but after trying them it was pretty obvious that this was my best rod for this little welder They burn nice and hot so I can get good penetration and the 6011 is great for spot repairs that aren't…

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Not as bulky as other tools

Works well! suitable for welding devices and accessories

Does what I need. I've only been welding on weekends and after work for a few months now and still use 1/16 6011. I don't use 1/16 very well, too flexible (me and rods). I was surprised at how much penetration I got with 3/32, but then again, they should. The slag separates quite easily, and of course the hotter the surface, the easier it is. For some odd reason, I find the 7018 electrode to be the easiest electrode to use, so I figured it was time to look at the 6010 and 6011 electrodes. I…

Pros
  • Arc welding device
Cons
  • Slightly torn
