Hogwarts Crest Cross Stitch Stitchering Review

The pattern was good and I had plenty of yarn BUT the Aida they sent was only 14 x 14 square inches. This meant that the top and bottom of the seam were less than 1 inch from the edge of the material. This made it VERY difficult to hold the hoop in place and feel tension when sewing. The material had to be AT LEAST 14 x 16 inches. I didn't realize it until I spent HOURS working on it. If you buy it, buy fabric and save yourself a lot of trouble.

I love Harry Potter so when I saw it I wanted it. I did long cross stitches so that wasn't a problem for me. The first thing that struck me before I started was that thread #950 was very short. This is a really nice kit, very well thought out and organized and it comes in a brown paper bag. You will get more threads. /thread than you need to leave enough room for errors and the like. The instructions are well done and easy to look up. The instructions are a bit lacking, but I'm very new to this and had to go to YouTube to find out how to make some of this. If you have never done cross stitch I would avoid this product. The instructions are easy to follow, but it's not for beginners. This is best for those with experience as the fabric is NOT SEALED and you need to follow the instructions to create it. For what you pay, the items you get are ok. The fabric is ok. Mouline good colors are enough. The needle is fine (although it should be packed separately). There are directions. No tire. The fabric is not printed, so there are no easy instructions…
