Fixed tripping when turning into lanes

Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor coughed and hissed when turning into lanes. It has been said on several forums that most fuel pumps, especially at idle, put too much pressure on the Edelbrock, causing the fuel level to rise too high and thereby running too rich. This fixed that problem. And as a bonus, I find the engine runs smoother even at cruising speed.

Pros
  • Installation Type: Vehicle specific
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Everyone has recommended this to me to regulate the pressure in my new Edelbrock carburetor, just didn't expect a Holley part to be so poorly tested for quality. That's right, but also the seller was great and sent a new one - so the All After Sell seller went above and beyond to fix an issue that wasn't his fault.

Pros
  • Adjustable fuel pressure from 4-1/2 to 9 psi
Cons
  • Reliability

Workshad but problems installing

The controller works fine. I had to use a faucet to clean out the holes/threads that attach it to the bracket. At first it seemed like there were no threads until I realized it was some sort of white solid. Maybe it's the manufacturing process. The first time I applied pressure I realized I had to adjust the pressure as it was too high. The adjustment screw has been overtightened. Worried it wouldn't come loose unless the bolts were removed from the inner fender where I installed it. It took aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Reliable and durable
Cons
  • So far so good

You can always count on Holley to produce the highest quality parts.

I work with cars. for over 40 years. and one thing I've always held true is that when it says holly on the box, you've got the best. Every time I buy a cheap foreign made part, I end up sending it back or throwing it in the trash. This perfectly working fuel regulator is a replacement for a cheap fake that I had to return as it leaked after only 2 days of driving. Yes, I paid a little more, but knowing I'm not going to pour gas on a hot engine is worth it. So save your time, nerves and possibly

Pros
  • Bracket included
Cons
  • Upgradable

You can't complain about the price.

I only installed it a few days ago but it seems to be working. The parts of the regulator on either side of the inlet port are unthreaded. After reading these reviews prior to purchase and installation, upon arrival I checked the holes, took the controller in the palm of my left hand and used the supplied screws to very carefully "punch" the holes. This worked well since the screws are much harder than the metal in the controller. It took less than a minute. I also pre-purchased the brassโ€ฆ
