Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor coughed and hissed when turning into lanes. It has been said on several forums that most fuel pumps, especially at idle, put too much pressure on the Edelbrock, causing the fuel level to rise too high and thereby running too rich. This fixed that problem. And as a bonus, I find the engine runs smoother even at cruising speed.

Everyone has recommended this to me to regulate the pressure in my new Edelbrock carburetor, just didn't expect a Holley part to be so poorly tested for quality. That's right, but also the seller was great and sent a new one - so the All After Sell seller went above and beyond to fix an issue that wasn't his fault.

The controller works fine. I had to use a faucet to clean out the holes/threads that attach it to the bracket. At first it seemed like there were no threads until I realized it was some sort of white solid. Maybe it's the manufacturing process. I only installed it a few days ago but it seems to be working. The parts of the regulator on either side of the inlet port are unthreaded. After reading these reviews prior to purchase and installation, upon arrival I checked the holes, took the controller in the palm of my left hand and used the supplied screws to very carefully "punch" the holes.
