Works like a switch. Combined with some relays so that the hydraulic circuit only works when there is oil pressure in the engine. The threads were a little damaged but not bad enough to cause a problem.

works over a wider range than my old switch, solved fuel pump failure with low oil pressure, like a hot engine at a red light, my oil pressure would drop to about 10psi and the fuel pump would shut off. that fixed it.

Great for the fuel pump kill switch. Installed in engine oil galleries and used as a fuel pump switch when oil pressure is low. Lasted longer than the cheaper ones I've tried before, recommend this switch, good product.

For screwing into the oil level outlet. I used a brass nipple and tee to house this switch and oil pressure gauge. If the engine is hooked up properly and the engine stalls, the loss of oil pressure will deactivate the electric fuel pump relay. Good insurance against fuel leaks in your boat or vehicle.

Converted to E-Fuel on my 7.3 Powerstroke and used it to cycle the pump on and off (via relays of course) and worked great for 6 years. months so far. It is a direct replacement for the plug on the oil cooler on this engine. Just screw it in and as soon as you start it it will feel the oil pressure, turn the pump on and turn it off once the engine is off. I have purchased three of these switches in the last year and all three have failed immediately after purchase or within hours. At first one worked fine and shut down the pump. Now they do nothing.
