Holley 302 1 Retro Fit Engine Review

Nice oil pan, the installation is not quite the original. The oil scoop required some work and the torch body mating surface was not flush.

Very poor quality oil pickup. I cut 5 o-rings before returning for a 302-2 oil pan. The 302-2 has a 2 bolt rod seal flange and is installed and working properly.

I used to have a Hummer H2 pan and it would get stuck on the hatch cover as soon as I stopped the car violently. It sat very low so I looked for a higher profile pan and this Holley pan fits perfectly.

This oil pan is a very well made part to replace an Ls3 with a Chevy 49 with a Nova subframe clamp. This pan should give me the clearance I need, it's rear steering. Ends with 9" clearance behind rack and pinion steering crossbar.

I ordered this oil pan to check the height for installation in my project. I haven't installed it on the engine yet, but I'm sure it will work fine. Very high quality item. Holly makes a good product. I also couldn't believe how quickly I received it from this supplier. It may help someone, the height of the pan at the drain plug is 6 inches, about 5-1/2 inches at the back.
