UPDATE: I washed the pillow in the washing machine (it says machine washable) and the pillow ripped and the filling spread all over my car and clothes. Nothing but the pillow was spoiled, I just had a long and tedious clean up afterwards. Luckily the cushion isn't torn so badly that I can fill it with stuffing and overseeding. only pain.

I am using this as a birdhouse/hopefully nesting house for my mated pair of sun conures. Hang it in a cage instead of laying it on the ground to reduce the amount of bird droppings that get on it. Cannot wash it after laying eggs in it until the young are taken out of the cage. Usually the female destroys everything that gets into the cage, but leaves this hut alone. Maybe because she's busy destroying the grass basket I put on the ground. Birds spend a lot of time in it. I hope this one lasts…

Seems to be durable, I would hand wash as it won't stand up to machine washing. It stands on its own with a durable foam core. Larger than expected, it will definitely fit a small to medium sized cat or rabbit or a very small dog.
