Very disappointed The bottles had a bad smell and the water tasted awful We have washed them SEVERAL times Washed with dish soap and rinsed well So far there has been SMELL and BAD taste. Tried EVERYTHING and nothing worked. We were stuck with 3 bottles which they don't take back. So good luck if you order these bottles. ;(

I don't like this narrow neck bottle. I washed it upside down with my eco tablet in the dishwasher which left the sand as a residue in the bottle. No matter how many bottle brushes I used, I couldn't get the deposit-like grit off the dishwashing tablet. it just goes to show how impossible it is to clean these bottles because of the narrow neck!

I was going to use a water storage jug for my water bottle, but it gives the water a strong plastic taste. I use a metal water bottle with a carbon filter, which usually removes chlorine or other chemical flavors from my water. Pitcher water filtered through my water bottle tastes like I'm drinking from a plastic syringe. I even washed the jar thoroughly twice and it still has that extremely strong taste. I wonder why this isn't a general complaint.

It's just an ordinary glass bottle. It was more expensive than we hoped, so we didn't get it right away when we came back to the States from working overseas where everything is plastic. We don't trust any plastic, BPA free or not. Unfortunately, not a single shop around us sells old-fashioned cider in those big glass bottles. We will be buying more of these 1 gallon glass bottles so we always have safe water at home. It would be great if this company offered a volume discount on these bottles.

I love the bottle but for some reason they sent it with a metal cap which I didn't expect but for a while. But in the end when I opened it I noticed a bunch of red crap all over the lip and saw the cap was rusted so not just metal but super cheap metal. I checked the site and saw how different the cap really was and asked them to mail it to me, which they did. It takes a little effort to turn it straight, but it works.

This bottle is as expected. I like that it's made of glass so it doesn't retain odors, stains or become food for bacteria. The lid closes well and doesn't leak. I can't tell if it's BPA-free or not, but I still don't fill the water to the brim so the water rarely touches the lid. Received my two bottles today. The vials look great but the advertised polyseal cap didn't fit. Instead, it's a cheap metal cap. I don't want to go through the hassle of sending them back. I ask the dealer to send me two polyethylene caps. Update: Two years later, I still use these bottles every day to keep filtered water cold in the fridge. These are really outstanding bottles. The retailer never sent me replacement plastic caps so I just bought mine and they work great. So this is a five star
