It's a bit louder than I like but it's a minor thing. Digital reading is great. It's easy to use. I've been using dialing, old-fashioned timers for a long time. They're not as well made as they were a few years ago. This digital timer is easy to use, big numbers and I expect it to last a long time because it's battery operated. I bake a lot. Oven timers, microwave timers aren't loud enough to be heard (by me) when I'm far away. This timer is loud and constant until you turn it off.
