Finally the right carburetor with auto-choke

After purchasing a bunch of other carbs that had the right #s but not the right carbs; thought I'd try that out. It fits perfectly, proper carburettor with autochoke. Put it on, light it up with one puff, turn it off and light it up again with one puff! The only thing is that there were no gaskets in the kit? But this is the OEM for you. Other carbs can be real carbs but without an auto gas press. It was right! He was an OEM! Not a cheap Chinese imitation. Highly recommend this seller, you…

Perfect replacement for Honda GCV160 Engine

My lawn mower ran with bumps, lost power etc. and finally died out completely. Carburettor removed and thoroughly cleaned but to no avail, still dead. Mine had an automatic choke and finding the correct carburetor was a challenge. Finally found and ordered, came a day later, changed the carburetor in 10 minutes and voila, my lawn mower is working again. Great product and incredibly fast shipping. A few tips to remember: 1) Be sure to fill the carburetor with starting fluid the first time after…

Make sure you order the correct carburetor

This was the perfect carburetor for my lawnmower and it worked great. I had ordered another one before, but it didn't have the right traction for the auto choke. There are several variants of the same Honda engine, but this is not entirely clear when ordering. Confirm if your carburetor has an automatic, manual, or airless choke. Depending on your application, the carburetor you ordered may not be a direct replacement and the choke will not work. You must physically remove the carburetor and…

Super Easy Carburetor Repair

My 4 year old Honda GCV160 stalled out of the blue and won't start. It stays in the garage all year round with a fuel stabilizer in the tank. Removed spark plug, checked fuel lines and emergency switch. Booted up and worked for just a few moments. I noticed that the carburetor has a lower gut screw and a flush screw on the body. I found out and decided it wasn't convenient for maintenance. I googled the alphanumeric names and nothing came up. Installation Notes: 1. Access the Repair Clinic…

Spent several hours cleaning and fiddling with the old carburetor

I spent hours cleaning and fiddling with the carburetor on a Toro Recycler with a Honda GCV160. I bled the fuel system, tried to adjust the carburetor, cleaned the jets and bowl and I couldn't get the mower to run for more than 5 seconds (better than the no start situation I started with I think I). started refusing my white flag and calling the local hardware store to pick it up for repairs. Eventually I found a part number for a complete carburetor assembly and decided to check out the…
