🍯 Honeywell HC26E1004 White Humidifier Filter Pad Review

The filter arrived quickly and I was able to easily replace the old one. I just watched a YouTube video that was very helpful. I bought my house about two years ago and I don't think this filter has been changed in at least 3-4 years! It's about time! I will be ordering another one and it will be ready to swap out for next year at the end of the season.

It appears that this particular rug is no longer available from the popular DIY chain. Instead, they offer third-party devices that may not stand up to use, as others here have reviewed. I contacted Revain Prime instead, the exact part number was provided the next day. It's worth the price. The device fits perfectly with my Honeywell humidifier.

This is an OEM replacement pad for my whole house humidifier. Once a year the warning light comes on to indicate the need for replacement. It's coated in some sort of powdered material that flakes off when installed. It is easy to exchange, it is used immediately. I think the flaky material keeps it from getting moldy since it's wet all the time during the heating season.

This humidifier pad is a perfect match for my entire home, the Honeywell Enviracare Elite humidifier, model number HE265A. If you haven't changed your filter in a while, note that the bold markings (mine was dark purple) on the filter should point towards the top of the filter (where the waterline meets the filter frame). The filter is mottled brown but clean and works well in your humidifier.

Saved the day when my 1 year old seal literally started falling apart recently. This caused some problems with my new oven due to the sheer amount of dirt making its way through it. I originally ordered it and was supposed to receive it in two days, but then suddenly it wasn't shipped for four weeks. I need a replacement pad for my Rheem RXIH-AB17A humidifier. This was the first time I had to replace it. I was surprised that the instruction manual didn't list the specific part or type of pad to use. Searching Google, Amazon, and other places didn't yield an obvious answer. Compared to Honeywell's paper version (HC26P), this pillow is a must have. Its dimensions are approximately 10x13x1.5. I noticed an increase in humidity after replacing the pad of paper with this one. Also, less water goes straight down the drain, requiring it to become airborne. This seal must be inserted into the plastic housing that is already in the humidifier. We open the plastic case, take out the old one, put it in place and put the case back. Simple, no tools, what more could you ask…

I bought the HC26P first because it was the only part listed in my humidifier manual. The HC26P is a cheap piece of paper that looks like it will fall apart when wet (that's the whole point of a humidifier). The original filter that comes NEW with the humidifier is called the HC26E. As mentioned, these are Honeywell branded OEM seals with an AgIon coating. The AgIon coating is probably the main benefit when paying the premium for these particular pads over the regular versions that you can buy for about half the price, in addition to their durability. I have used the generic Bestair and also Idylis versions of this pad and although the pads worked well they had to be replaced after 3 months.
