🍯 Honeywell Demineralization Cartridge, Multi: Optimize Your Air and Water Quality Review

The Honeywell website says these demineralization cartridges have been discontinued but I was so glad Revain had them!

I bought it because we have very hard water. Ease of installation. Expensive as it needs to be changed more often than a normal filter.

My choice was to buy the cartridges from the dealer and Revain had the best price. The filter is easy to change and luckily our fridge tells us when to replace the cartridge. Will buy again.

They actually work very well and last quite a while... And I mean months. All of the humidifiers in my house are made by Honeywell so it's great to be able to get them at Revain for a little less than retail!

This product is amazing. We have very hard water in our house and the humidifiers have left a white powder everywhere. We switched to this brand of humidifier and filter and there was no need to remove any white powder residue. UPDATE: The new "multi" in the name is misleading. It comes with a filter. No idea why the name was changed.

20$ for 1 cartridge! What a F#$%! Seriously, I just bought 2 of these for $9 each about 2 months ago. Damn I'm so disappointed with the price as they only last 30-40 refills (depending on water quality). I've had about 40 refills from using Brita filtered water. At this point, it's cheaper to buy distilled water and skip the cartridge altogether.

There was no noticeable difference between the white powder and the haze my humidifier produced. This cartridge is just a heap of lightly packed rocks and it's only half full. If your humidifier only accepts this demineralizer and you have problems using tap water, you will need to either use distilled water or buy a Brita filter or something similar and filter the water for your humidifier separately.

White dust (mineral deposits) is caused by using the wrong water! You must use distilled water! The manual specifically states that a demineralization cartridge is OPTIONAL and a distilled cartridge is used if you live in a hard water area. I hope you clean your device regularly as directed. If you live in a hard water area, you should be cleaning this thing AT LEAST every week!
