Supplied as one large piece of filter which will need to be cut into several pieces using a template (which will also need to be trimmed) to fit your model. Bulky, messy, difficult to cut accurately and unclear from the product description.

As you can see in my comparison photo. The density of the new Honeywell pre-filter is half that of the old one and 70% higher than traditional brands. .Thanks Honeywell for paying your executives millions when your products suck. Never again will I trust a brand name.

Firstly if I pay the extra price for the Honeywell name I don't have to cut my own filter, secondly the filters fold several times which makes it difficult to measure them flat and if you cut it off, on the cut surface there is a layer of unpleasant sand. I will not buy this brand again.

Probably one of the worst product decisions. It looks like a giant sheet of carbon fiber that you need to cut to size. As a result, small soot particles fly through the room. Also, strangely enough, if the filter that comes with the machine when ordering is thick, durable, and obviously not transparent, the filter is transparent. Honeywell must sell this pre-cut blend to match their filters.

OMG I just changed my pre-filter and the pre-filter that came with the HPA300 is completely different. I didn't worry about cropping it, but it's so thin! I can actually see through some parts of it. The pre-filter that came with the HPA300 was very thick. This one seemed wrong due to the thickness and some areas you can see. The one that came with the HPA300 was much heavier and felt denser.

This product came in a long sheet and I had to cut it to size for my car. When you cut it, all those tiny filter particles stay on the cut surface. Pretty dirty. Also, the filter is much more porous than the original filter that comes with the machine. I'm not sure how effective this will be as it is very porous. I figured I would get a quality filter by buying a Honeywell filter direct to fit my Honeywell machine. I was wrong! I will buy another brand next time.

This was a genuine Honeywell Hepa pre-filter so I was expecting the same quality as the last one I bought a few years ago. This option is not for the specific model (52500) I have, but fits multiple models now. This would be fine if the mesh density was the same as the previous model's pre-filter. I have been buying these A+ air filters for a number of years now. I recently ordered one and when it arrived everything looked fine. The description on the packaging was exactly what I ordered. However, when I opened the packaging, the filter wasn't as thick as the ones I received previously and there was no white powdery substance that was there before. Thinking it might be a production change, I cut out a replacement and installed it. It didn't effectively reduce the odors in my apartment. I
