cannot be tested or reused. not like mine

I have several models with reusable sensors. I don't like that I can't check them out. The rest looks exactly the same until you turn them over and look at the underside. I'm disappointed because it wasn't easy to find something without high legs. With others I liked how little water could be detected, and I think they did too, but with others you can check, wipe and reuse within a couple of years. If I keep them I'll always wonder if they work, and in a few years I'll really wonder if theyโ€ฆ

  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • The list will be long.

I won't know until I run out of water!

This is a sensor that is placed under the cabinet where the water heater and air conditioner are located. It rises above the panel with ventilation holes under the door. We had a water leak that caused some of the hardwood floors to warp and needed replacing. We placed these four sensors under the raised floor in places where we knew water would collect. I'm guessing we won't know how well they perform for two years or until we have a water leak, so I can't really rate them. It would be helpful

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Little things

THAT DOES NOT WORK. PAY FOR FLOOD DAMAGES NOW.

I had a flood under the kitchen sink on the first floor. I had to pay a lot of money to fix it. Once everything was fixed I bought these alarms and put them anywhere in the house where water could leak. I figured once they felt the water I would know it by the sound and be able to get to it before too much damage happened. NOT CORRECT! I have water dripping from the ceiling in my basement, I run to check under the sink. Sitting at a depth of 1/2 inch, this thing makes no sound. Water flowedโ€ฆ

This is a good buy for peace of mind

I bought these for myself and my married children a while ago. I put them in the basement, in my brother's apartment and in my apartment. I've been warned about water issues twice since I put them on. Once he alerted me under my kitchen sink that the drain was leaking, and once again he alerted my brother that his washing machine was leaking. My son put a few in his garage where his water heater is and when he was walking his dogs he heard the alarm coming from the closed garage, obviously dueโ€ฆ

Cons
  • Expensive

They work GREAT. A colleague broke the drain hose of the washing machine.

Works GREAT. A colleague's washing machine drain hose broke and his kitchen was flooded with water. The insurance company covered everything that was damaged, from the wooden floor to the paint on the wall. I was very dismayed at how much the repair cost him so I ordered it. So far they have saved me twice. The spray hose on the kitchen sink started leaking and the sensor went off immediately. Problem fixed, no damage. Then the garbage chute under the kitchen sink started leaking and the sensor

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • No Instructions

Works great and you can reuse them if they work.

Bought these on a whim, mainly for the price. I put them around the house near the toilets and two weeks go by and one is already screaming. I was a little mad about it until I went to the bathroom and found water on the floor! Well at least I know they work! :) As others have said, there is no off switch. These guys scream until the batteries die. However, after enabling this, I can see how they work now. At the base is a yellow sponge (actually similar to a kitchen sponge). There is a copperโ€ฆ

  • Great for me

  • Definitely a bad product
