This is a sensor that is placed under the cabinet where the water heater and air conditioner are located. It rises above the panel with ventilation holes under the door. We had a water leak that caused some of the hardwood floors to warp and needed replacing. We placed these four sensors under the raised floor in places where we knew water would collect. I'm guessing we won't know how well they perform for two years or until we have a water leak, so I can't really rate them. It would be helpful

Works GREAT. A colleague's washing machine drain hose broke and his kitchen was flooded with water. Bought these on a whim, mainly for the price. I put them around the house near the toilets and two weeks go by and one is already screaming.
