Okay let me start by saying I love Hoover vacuums. I have four of these now and one of these is almost 50 years old and still works great if you don't mind using bags. I bought this to replace a damaged one. We have two large dogs. They shed hair, dander and dust (and so does my husband!) so our house is a challenge for any vacuum cleaner. This is the second Hoover wind tunnel I've owned. The first lasted about 4 years and seems to have about the same strengths and weaknesses as this version 3. Version 2 still works, but the wheel mounts are so worn and broken that they're not worth fixing. I find the $100 to $150 price range for a vacuum that suits my needs.
