with a pretty standard little tag

Installation was pretty easy and the converter works but I'm concerned about long term reliability. I used this on a 1988 Mazda B2200 with a fairly standard small trailer. When I turn on either turn signal, the light that should be flashing flashes and the light that shouldn't flash flashes just a little. While it's still obvious that the turn signal is on, it's not ideal and might confuse some people behind me. I'm also concerned that there is a possible design flaw that could cause it to stop

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Works great great price

My OEM converter failed and I didn't have my right turn signal. I connected this converter and everything works as it should. It converts the 5 wires end/brake/indicator yellow (5 wires incl. mass) into indicator end/brake/red (4 wires incl. mass). When you brake, both turn signals come on, when you turn, the right turn signal flashes and the other one stays on. I saved a lot of money with this converter and do the work myself. I have a diesel pushrod RV and tow a Subaru with magnetic trailer…

Need to know about lighting assemblies and accessories

Pros: It works I would suggest you learn a little about vehicle wiring etc before attempting the task. Cons: You have to hang it out of the trunk to plug it in. Having the power adapter plugged in is annoying, could have been better designed. Suggestions: Using heat shrink tubing after soldering the wires in place will greatly reduce future problems with shorts and/or corroded wires. A little extra effort pays off when you know it's all well done. Before you buy, match your wiring to the back…

Easy Install on a 2010 Subaru Impreza 2.5i

Installed on a 2004 Civic a few years ago and it still works great. Installed this on a 2010 Subaru Impreza 2.5i which was much easier. The taillights come loose easily and there is a lot of play in the wiring on the light side of the harness connector. Using additional connectors for splicing is not a problem. The left light has a left turn, brake, and ground wire (have a self-tapping metal screw handy to connect the ground). On the car, the brake cable is RED, the left turn is white with a…

A must-have device, excellent value for money!

No installation instructions are included with the converter as the manufacturer assumes that you either know how to install it or are resourceful enough to look it up on the internet. in your vehicle. In addition, the kit does not include automotive wire taps, which you can buy at any auto parts store for a reasonable price. What does this converter do? Suppose you have a car with separate brake and turn signal lights. Most trailers have headlights that use the same bulbs for brakes and turn…
