Product different than pictured, poor insulation

The first problem is that you don't understand what is shown. See the two screenshots attached, one inside the package is what I received and the other image is the product thumbnail on the detail page. Second, I've tried trying them and they suck as much as they look. Poor insulation with weak connections means you have to make sure there are no kinks in the cable or you'll end up with a short. I will definitely send them back.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Expensive

I am restoring cassettes and similar from my youth on my Tascam DR-40 which has a 1/4" "-Combo has 1" XLR connectors for external input. This cable means I can connect straight from the cassette deck, increase the input gain to compensate for unbalanced signals, and then do post processing without any additional equipment. I also have one Pair for my Yamaha mixer (M16xu) for a DJ controller that also only has RCA outputs, works great, feels good, should do the trick.

excellent cable: accessories and consumables

These Hosa cables are needed to connect my m-audio audio interface to my m-audio monitors. I have a cheaper monitor for my computer just to play music as I love the sound of these m-audios. But as for the cable it's still great quality, I now have about 10 different Hosa cables for different audio interfaces and have had them for several years now and they all work great. I also like hosa because you can find the right combo adapters to work with different devices. But this one works great for…

The quality is higher than declared (it's good!)

The product received does not match that shown in the photo. The cable I actually received was of higher quality than advertised. The cables themselves are thicker and the connections more durable. Also, the color scheme is red and black instead of orange and grey. I don't know why but it seems to me that compared to red-black or red-black-white-gold, orange and gray wires and cables seem of inferior quality or cheap and tasteless. This belief is not based on factual or anecdotal evidence, but…

Terrible help with broken cable

Worked fine for exactly 1 year and broke. I was very gentle with them and didn't move them much, just stuck them behind my studio monitors and one of the cords was frayed inside, like if you kept plugging your headphones in one ear and pulling them out again and again, the speaker wouldn't work. Signal. The reason my rating is so bad is because I asked for a return and was denied. They told me the Revain period had expired and referred me to the seller who didn't respond to my request and I…

Hosa cables outperform high-end competitors

I've been using Hosa cable products for a long time and have never had any problems. I use this 1/4" to RCA cable to connect the audio from my BluRay player l and r to the stereo channel on my mixer. This allows me to watch movies late at night through headphones instead of TV speakers listen over HDMI. I have used Monster and Mogami cables in my 30+ year career in the music and recording industry. All I noticed was less money in my pocket. Everyone turns to these brands because a lot of them…

Great looking solid quality cable

I bought this to switch from my 1/4" audio mixer to a mini amp (bought from Revain, see my profile to see to check it out), which uses RCA as inputs and then goes to my speakers (also in my reviews). This is a setup I came up with for not using headphones on my Roland TD-7 electronic drums. The headphones worked well enough and I have to wear them after hours as I live in an apartment complex but with this setup I can actually hear the sound coming from my setup on stage giving the impression…
