Works well at 30-40 degrees outside temperature.

First things first. I know @$$ chills differently for everyone. However, I have had a couple of severe hot chills for the past 10 years. The average weight took off the chills when it was 30-40 degrees.

Pros
  • Micro-polyester MTF threads with a light suede finish for performance
Cons
  • Out of style

Great thermals but I didn't realize they were easy/medium.

Great thermals but I didn't realize they were light/intermediate. I was hoping to wear them under ski pants but they are a bit thin. I've decided to wear them under my jeans on those cold days in Boston, but will most likely be looking for a warmer pair for skiing.

Pros
  • Made in USA and Imported
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Hot Chillys is an excellent product

Warm and comfortable. A gift for a pedestrian who walks through ice and snow through noisy city streets on the way to and from work. I've been buying Hot Chilly's since I met them at a ski shop in Boulder. I love her stuff. There is some shrinkage due to their polypropylene/wool blend, but nothing is too bad that you can't live with it.

Pros
  • Loose fitting base layer for maximum comfort
Cons
  • Protection

Great purchase and I am very happy with my purchase

This is great. I looked at what women said about buying them for their husbands, so I understood and bought them. They're lightweight, not the thick long underwear most are used to, but they breathe well and are perfect for layering and keeping you warm or cold. They match well, fit perfectly and arrived just in time for hunting season.

Pros
  • 100% Polyester
Cons
  • Some imperfections

best gift for clothes

I bought this for my partner for Christmas (I know it's the best gift because who doesn't love thermal underwear for Christmas?). He's a tough snowboarder and a sneaky slacker, and he uses those thermals for both. He reports that they are comfortable, warm and durable. I bought them about a year ago and they still look brand new. They fit him well, I bought him a medium size, about 5ft 11in and 165lbs.

Pros
  • UV protection class 30+
Cons
  • negative impression

Really nice mid/light first layer :)

I bought a pair of these shoes for my boyfriend who snowboards every day in the winter. He swears by her and loves her! The Bärenberg is our local mountain, so the weather is quite moderate. These Hot Chillys are stretchy, super soft and the waist belt obviously lasts a long time. All in all great quality! The sizing chart is very accurate to the actual first layers sizing - be sure to check that out!

Pros
  • Flatlock stitching throughout reduces bulk and abrasion
Cons
  • Functionality
