Not worth the price

The transfer pencils are a complete waste of money for anyone who knows how to use an iron. The colors are not vibrant and it does not transfer onto fabric easily. The packaging was not helpful for people with little understanding of Arts and Crafts. The only positive aspect is that it did not melt when ironed.

Pros
  • Did not melt when ironed
Cons
  • Poor color transfer and packaging

It works. but at what cost?

I wanted to love these pencils, they seemed like the answer I needed for my pattern iron. I was immediately frustrated because it was very difficult to get thin lines for detail on the pattern. I insisted on gently drawing the lines several times, because the pencil can't be too sharp, can't press hard, or break. Finally, the second time I was able to iron exactly with the transfer and I was able to follow the drawn pattern casually, because fine details cannot be drawn with a pencil. I will…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Good product! Here are some tips on how to use it. :)

I noticed in some of the 1 star reviews that people were saying that the pencil leads ran out too quickly/breaked too easily/poorly sharpened and I wanted to fix this problem. The lead in them is like a Prismacolor pencil, you can't press hard or it will eat your pencil. You have to be patient and press lightly, repeating several times, until it is as dark as you want. However, they are perfect for their purpose! I wouldn't recommend these if you expect very fine lines when transferring as they
