All three children are enthusiastic

All my children from 2 to 8 years old love it! An 8-year-old races all of his cars in an elimination race to find the fastest; he and his younger sister choose cars to compete against; A 2 year old just loves to send her down the gangplank. They've had it for about 5 months now and it's still in constant use. My only issue is that there is a little thing at the end of the ramp that raises a flag to indicate which car got there first. It kept getting stuck, causing the car to slow down in the…

Not worth the money

It looked very cute and I was very happy that Santa brought it to my son. When we unpacked it, I was surprised at how flimsy all the plastic was. The ramp consists of two parts and keeps falling apart. My almost 3 year old child cannot attach this part by himself. There is a car lift to take race cars to the top, it's weak and difficult to reach, it often gets stuck. Folding is easy for an adult, and children don't understand it even after several demonstrations/modeling. Part of the store is…

Neat but needs improvement

Got this for my 2.5 year old son who loves Hot Wheels. It's a great concept to be able to race and see the flag pointing at the winner. We've spent quite a bit of time playing with him over the past few months. So I have some more specific thoughts on this: It turned out to be shorter than I expected, despite not reading the dimensions. The rail falls apart very easily when moving. Quite a few cars that fit on the track get stuck at the finish line. If two cars arrive at the finish line at…

granddaughter loves it!

Bought for my granddaughter who is just starting to play with hot wheels. We also bought a route extension pack (mandatory) to make it longer straight away. One of the first toys she picks up when she comes in now. She really enjoys playing with the drag strip, but also spends a lot of time playing in the garage. It folds and stores well and still holds up well. One downside is that it only comes with one car, which is a bit confusing as it's intended for the drag strip. So you need to make…

The action figures and playsets cost no more than $10

It's a short distance but long enough for a decently thrilling race. Several reviews mention cars getting stuck at the end of the track. This can be fixed by taking the standard orange section of the track and cutting it in half. Attach one half each to the connectors provided at the end of the treadmill. Cars now roll onto these halves after exiting instead of getting stuck, making it an inaccurate winner. The set is easy to fold. When folded, the top of the set fits 6 cars. You can expand the

Bad design but still fun with mods

Our granddaughter loves to play with Hot Wheels. We kept her mum's collection when she was little so she has plenty to choose from. I bought a caterpillar with slingshot launchers, but it's too young to understand how the mechanism works. This dual ramp seemed like a good option as it has a simpler trigger mechanism. In fact, she was able to get it working right away. However, there are a few major design flaws with this set. First, the checkered flag mechanism below slows or stops cars, so…
