Originally purchased to install in a Compaq Portable III. The IDE connector is right next to the case, so there was no room to install this module. I also had to buy an IDE extension cable. That helped. But later, when I wanted to use it for something else, it grabbed the extension cord with such a death grip that it destroyed the cord when removing it.
