I liked the rubber backing that keeps it in place as I stapled it to the steps. Steps get a lot of tracks with kids. The small amount I cut out caused the edge to fall apart very slightly. Overall, for the money and overall quality, I would buy it again for a runner that you don't want to whiten or put back on tiers.

We bought this rug for our front door and it is thicker than others I have bought in the past, full width 36" which was important to me, the others were standard much narrower. Thick non-slip backing. The glued edges look very strong. Too bad I didn't find this rug when I bought our first rug for our kitchen. My dog also loves having lots of space to spread out around Shepard. He likes to stand by the door.

I've had this mat under my computer desk for almost a year and recently had to replace it. My computer chair has wheels and after about 6 months if you roll the chair across a rug the rug will curl up and not stay flush with the floor. It's a constant annoyance to keep straightening it. I had no choice but to replace it. This rug could be improved if it had a rubber backing to help it stay in place.

Wow. So I never thought that I would waste my time writing a review for hall rugs. but I'm so glad I ordered this! Exactly as described size, color and pile. The rubber pad on this thing is no joke - it's been sitting on my floor for a week now, and it's safe to say it's moved between two cats, a mad dog, a kid and a carefree husband walking on it , maybe by a hair or two. I love this rug. I have it in my kitchen so all the dirt doesn't get in the house when we walk in the door. I wanted a black that doesn't show dirt (as opposed to white) but I understand you see all the little bits of grass and stuff brought in from the outside. We have dogs so we vacuum often. Have to confirm other reviews - this rug attracts fluff/hair/dirt/crumbs. My kitchen has black appliances and I chose a black rug to match. Carpet looks good when it's clean.
