like our 2003 VW JETTA

I've been using these oil filters in my cars for a few decades now. The nut on the end is especially handy for removing dollars in hard-to-reach places like our 2003 VW JETTA.

Installation Verification - Tools & Equipment

Product installed as expected by Quick Lube, required next day tightening due to installer. I usually do everything myself, but due to a back injury I have to turn to outsourcing. K&N filters seem to be good for long synthetic intervals.

Great value, high performance filter

longer. I use the same fully synthetic oil as before with improved cleaning properties. With this type of filter I should be able to change the recommended oil twice. I read an article recently and some car manufacturers say 10-12k miles or 1 year instead of 3 months or 3000 miles. I wouldn't recommend a longer interval just based on oil with no filter with good performance. Great purchase and shipping free and on time.

Great value for money for a premium oil filter

The title of this review pretty much speaks for itself. I have read a lot about oil filter design and performance and this has consistently been one of the most popular filters from sources I trust as they are not biased or wrong about what makes a good oil filter. It's nice to go overboard when cheap.

For use with 2003 VW NEW Beetle 1.8T and 0W-40 synthetic oil. After taking the bug several times to one of those companies that quickly and easily "blindly" smear confusing things, error codes and i$$ue$ crap, I decided to do it myself. So I'm currently using the full Mobile 1 synths and matched them to the Mobile 1 filter and everything looked fine, but then I tested a few others before sticking with K&N.
