The backlight and contrast in this product are not enough. I wanted a new second screen to replace my 2016 Samsung, which doesn't look great next to my iMac. However, HP looked much worse. This HP screen has a parchment orange tint that you can't change in settings as part of the overall blue blocking initiative. The backlight is dim, probably for the same reason. I need a second monitor so I can take notes and study without switching tabs as often and this does the job. It's big and incredibly easy to set up in 5 minutes. Haven't used it for gaming yet, but I've already connected my gaming console and will add it to the review afterwards :)

Brightness and color spectrum display is all you need from a 1080 monitor. The lack of speakers made it light, but the audio output would have been preferable. The stand is very light and allows for some rocking; I would like a place for rear mounts. But for the price and delicacy, it's acceptable. Very happy with this monitor.

The monitor worked fine for a month, and then it just died. Everything would be fine but the support service is terrible. I spoke to a random person in India who I couldn't hear because they were all crammed into the tiny space. I've loved this monitor for a few years. Stylish, beautiful design, easy to set up. Over the past few months I've noticed a flickering issue that can be resolved by unplugging the cable or port (with a Macbook Pro plugged in). I am very impressed with the color balance, clarity and brightness of the display. I'm very sensitive to flicker, but even at 60Hz the display is sharp and doesn't tire my eyes. Nice screen but potentially bad for editing. You need an adapter, and adapters hold it in such a way that it looks unstable. As if it would wear out and break. If you are ever planning to mount your monitor, look for a monitor with Vesa mount capability.
