HP LaserJet M577dn for Office Electronics

Misleading HP documentation. It is stated to print at speeds of up to 40 pages per minute in black and white and color modes. It's not like this. It prints a color print approximately every 45 seconds. Our previous HP printer printed 36 color pages per minute. Quite different, don't you think?

Great car, overpriced

Have been driving this car for about 6 months now. The machine is excellent, has all the necessary features and a very user-friendly touchscreen interface. 5 stars for performance but 2 stars for price. Realistically, the value should be well below $2,000. An equivalent replacement with the same running costs, the M570 is priced at $1,000.

Great printer. I work in a small office and .

Great printer. I work in a small office and this device has made everyone's life so much easier. However, you can purchase the optional HP Jetdirect 3000w NFC/Wireless Accessory J8030A, HP Jetdirect 2900nw J8031A Print Server if you want wireless networking. This accessory costs an additional $59, which I thought was a bit ridiculous given the price of the printer itself.

Office electronics workhorse

Not sure why previous reviewers gave it one star. The thing is a workhorse. I've definitely gotten it through some massive print jobs and it doesn't miss a beat. Just ordered a second one after the last one was almost a year old. Yes, the toner should be cheaper, but otherwise the printer does a good job of scanning, printing, copying, and faxing. Not much to complain about but I guess either the other reviewers got a bad rating or I got lucky and got a great one.

Doesn't work as advertised

This printer was advertised for printing, copying and faxing. Unfortunately, upon receipt of the printer, it was found that it could only copy and print with no ability to scan or fax. My IT team was involved in configuring the scanning option but to no avail. We've had this device for a month and couldn't scan the first page. We then learn that there is no fax connection portal, although the HP website and the owner's manual of the model purchased provide instructions for this device's fax…

Do not buy laser consumables and do not buy HP

For the fifth month this device started having problems. HP said I have no warranty on it, the seller, Laser Consumables, never contacted me when I asked why I didn't have a warranty. I have proven to HP that I have owned this unit for less than a year and they honored the warranty. BUT it is now five months later that this machine is still not fixed. Fantastic all in one paint for the family or home office! We've been using it for 8 months now and every feature we've used has been flawless (don't use wifi or fax). No jams or misfeeds, and he saw hundreds of pages of Avery labels (expensive bought ones recommended for laser printers), hundreds of pages of very heavy cardstock (loaded in the side tray), and thousands of double-sided pages on 8.5 x 11 plain paper .
