Inferior circuitry - bad after 18 months of use.

Has worked great for 18 months, good result, easy connection to network. Then, 6 months out of warranty, the motherboard fails - about $800 to replace with labor. No abuse, always on surge protection, no reason to fail. I have other HP Laserjets printers that are almost 10 years old and apart from a period when HP has not updated the Mac OS drivers they still work perfectly. I will be writing to HP with a complaint and requesting some sort of benefit but if it is not given then this will be the
