It seems to be a high quality fan. However, I have a few problems with it. What is called a "recessed mount" is actually a "short stem" mount. This results in the bottom of the fan still being more than 17 inches from the ceiling. In a home with 8ft ceilings and a frequent 6ft 7 guest, you can see a potential problem. After searching all the big stores and all over the internet I ordered it from Revain for $89. Pros: This fan works! Moves more air than my other six larger diameter fans. I have Harbor Breeze, Hampton Bay and another Hunter and this one is the quietest. Great for a small room. A 34 inch fan might seem too small in a large room, but it looks great in the bedroom.
