🕹️ Hunter Remote Control for On-Off Ceiling Fan and Light System Review

Replaced the Hunter remote which got wet and stopped working. My technician installed a new transmitter in my ceiling fan and this Hunter remote worked right away. Very happy with it and a lot cheaper than Hunter's.

It's like an old remote control for my Hunter ceiling fan/light. The old one burned down, making it impossible to turn on the light. I ordered that. After replacing the receiver in the ceiling fan with the new one that came with the remote control, everything works great! Highly recommended!

After purchasing it I was concerned that the thing would not work. My fan runs on 1 switch. Tech support wasn't very helpful. I already opened the package so I went ahead and installed it. I was a little surprised, it works great. Nice that you don't have to get up to turn off the light or the fan. Good product.

This is the hardest thing I've ever installed! It took two people 3 hours to figure out how to install. What's even more ridiculous is that you have to unscrew the remote control to insert the battery. Eventually the fan wouldn't work and the light wouldn't turn on. Waste of time and money! Ridiculous design!

I had to replace the transmitter on the Hunter fan (probably the contacts have bent over time). I didn't need the receiver (fan mounted) but it came with both for less than Hunter wanted, just for the transmitter and shipping was much quicker. Eat clear! I'm so glad I got my fan remote back.

It worked as it should I gave 4 stars because I was wondering if it was a return. When I opened the box, the package was open. Looks like someone tried to open it with scissors as there was a cut in the bottom corner. I don't know why they sent me a package that was opened earlier. Someone is tinkering at work.

The kids lost their original remote and I couldn't find a replacement commercially. It looks almost exactly like the original and works great with my light. Great product. It works as intended. However, you must read the description carefully. As others have pointed out, this isn't just a distant replacement for older styles that look nearly identical. Older models used DIP switches to set the fan frequency, this is digital. This makes the two systems incompatible, meaning you'll have to replace the receiver in the fan.
