    My rating is too small

    My daughter wears a size 11.5 (toddler) and a size 12 was very small for her foot. The quality of the shoes is excellent. The size just didn't fit and I had to return the item.

    • The black color wears off easily and looks worn quickly, requiring frequent cleaning or replacement.

    Excellent quality shoes but very narrow.

    These shoes are of excellent quality and appear to be very well made. Unfortunately, the landing is very narrow and long. We bought a size 9.5 wide for our toddler who is a size 9. There was a lot of extra length, but not a huge amount of width. Probably suitable for children with narrow feet.

    Worth every penny in my opinion

    Hush Puppies look great, are comfortable and durable for an active kid, and seem to last longer than other "dress" shoes. One of the few shoe brands that I can give away when my daughter grows up.

    Cheap is good for me

    I was disappointed when I opened these shoes for my daughter. We bought these for school uniforms, they were so light and felt very cheap. I know how difficult children are with shoes and I didn't think they would last long. I had to go back and find something stronger and more permanent.

    Excellent value for money and quality!

    The second time I buy the same shoes in different sizes. The wide sizing fits perfectly and these shoes won't fall apart even after months of hard school play. The perfect complement to the uniform. My child outgrows the shoes before they fall apart. Really magical.

    black boot: my review

    Great uniform shoes for my granddaughter who is starting kindergarten this year. The quality seems good for the price and the shoes ordered a size 10 are a bit loose and her mum wanted these shoes to fit her all school year. Uniforms are hard to come by as Buster Brown shoes and Stride Rite stores are gone.

    Narrow width - my new review

    The Mary Jane is great quality but the width on my daughter's foot is a bit small. When tightened, the strap exposes about an inch of Velcro, which isn't a big deal, but worth mentioning. Also, after a month of regular school wear, the shoes still look new and my daughter says they are comfortable.

    I was looking for a pair of inexpensive, quality leather flats that were comfortable to walk in and that had a strap. Keep the shoes in place - they fit the bill very well. They have non-slip soles although I wouldn't wear them in slippery conditions or uphill as they don't have enough traction for that.
