Best tubeless road tires I've tried

I live in an area with an incredible amount of sand pine forests. They're on the road and in trail systems and it seems like I've been changing tubes every 2-3 rides. Sometimes twice in one trip. After three flat rides I switched to Road Tubeless and the sand drill problem was solved. Since most tubeless road tires are very soft, I got a lot of cuts from small pieces of glass, rendering the tire unusable, or at least not tubeless. With Hutchison Fusion 5 I get the best of all worlds. They are…

Great tubeless road tire

After struggling to fit Continental GP and Bontrager tubeless tires I decided to try another brand. It was almost impossible to mount the Continental and Bontrager board on my Mavic or Bontrager wheels. I actually broke 2 tire levers trying to put them on. After donning the tubeless Bontrager, I blasted the sidewall after hitting road debris at 40 mph. The hole was too big to plug and too dangerous to plug. The Hutchinson tire is very easy to mount and inflate. I had no problems at all with…

Pros
  • Grooved tread perfect for wet roads
Cons
  • I'll add later

Works well on my tubeless bike

This is my 3rd tire I've bought to date, only replacing the rear tire due to wear. The rear tire had about 2,000 miles (not spinning, shifting) at the time of replacement. In terms of durability you should be able to get around 1800-2500 miles for the rear tire and 2800-3600 miles for the front tire. In terms of tire pressure, at least for me, the optimal value is around 65-70 psi, between stiffness and increased rolling resistance (I drive on relatively bumpy roads). the inside of the tire if…

Pros
  • Reinforced bead with hard shell for strength and puncture resistance
Cons
  • Some imperfections
