This bowl for collecting unpopped corn kernels is an attractive idea BUT leaves the user with a less than ideal design. The removable tray screen must be designed in such a way that it can be locked in place. Any movement of popcorn or shaking to set salt or toppings is impossible without violating its purpose.

Very happy with this product. I had no idea they make popcorn buckets with lids so the popcorns that don't pop stay at the bottom. As a mom, I'm always afraid my daughter will try to eat the kernels, but this popcorn bucket makes me feel better knowing she can't get to the kernels just by grabbing the popcorn.

I bought 2 of these and when they arrived as many others have mentioned the core traps were missing. The core catchers are the main benefit of these buckets, I was disappointed that I now have to send them back so I only gave 1 star. I went to the manufacturer's website (Hutzler) and ordered them there and to my surprise they cost a little over half the price Revain is asking.

This is the perfect one-serving bowl. A number of reviewers complained that they didn't get a removable bottom insert to capture the core. I found mine came out of the open packaging that the bowl was shipped in and I found it in the same mailer box alongside other items. That's a great idea, but it would be better if the insert actually snaps into place rather than just dangling from the bottom of the bowl. Fits large Hutzler popcorn bucket. Microwave Popcorn Bags. Poor (minus 2 stars): The core catcher does not stay "snapped". There are tiny grooves on the bottom of the bowl that should hold the trap in place. Sometimes I hear a click when I insert the trap. But it does not matter. If I shake the bowl to distribute the salt or oil, the trap detaches and goes diagonally instead of lying horizontally. This completely defeats the purpose.
