All of my Shark straps break when I do something stupid and vacuum rug tassels or loose carpet threads. No, I haven't learned it yet, but these replacement straps got me back on track asap.

I was happy to see this on Amazon for such a great price, it fixed the problem where the vacuum head was making extra noise due to missing teeth on the original belt (after 6 years of use I'm not surprised).

Replaced the belt in our Shark vacuum. I have already bought a new vacuum but took the risk of replacing the belt when I discovered it was the problem and now I have a second fully working vacuum.

Direct replacement for Shark Rocket. We gave this vacuum to my 6 year old daughter when we got the rotator so she could vacuum her room because it was so bright. The strap broke about a year ago so I finally found the time to replace it. You have to disassemble the entire reel base and also remove the motor just to change the belt. When disassembled, the belt fits perfectly.

The Shark nozzle is not really designed for the user to change the belt of a rotary brush. However, buying a brand new powerhead is not realistic unless you have a little skill. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver that fits into small holes. Remove about 10 screws and you should be able to access the roller brush assembly and replace the belt. This belt, purchased from Revain, fits perfectly and has the same size markings as the original Gates belt.
