DO NOT BUY: Food Storage

A WASTE OF MONEY. I WASHED THESE BAGS BEFORE USE OR I WOULD RETURN THEM. THE NEXT DAY THE BREAD WAS ROCK HARD. I SENT A MESSAGE TO THE SELLER, A QUESTION ABOUT USE. I THOUGHT I MISSED SOMETHING. NO ANSWER. SHOCKER!

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Bread bags do their job

These are bags. I put my bread in it. They seem to stay fresher longer than plastic bags or anything else I've used before. Plus, they look great gifting your neighbors a tasty loaf of homemade sourdough bread. Well done, no complaints.

Baguette bags not included: bread boxes

bags are great but the bag description says 5 bread bags (3-11x15 inches for loaves, 2-27x5.8 inches for baguettes). The package I received contained five 11" x 15" bags (which is what I actually prefer) and had no baguette bags. Not a problem for me but maybe for those who want baguette bags with this set.

  • drives me crazy

Good quality and good value for money. Does the job!

Well made and nice thick material. Great attention to detail in construction and durable lace. I think they will last a long time. Now I use them on all my bread. Good balance between freshness and crispiness. If you put the bread in a plastic bag, it will lose its crispy crust. I get about a week off a loaf by storing bread in these bags. Big enough.

  • Manufactured by
Cons
  • Some issues

Not suitable for storing bread

I bought these bags (and got the right set) because I bake bread a lot and thought there would be a better way to store bread than plastic zippered bags. Well, one day the bread was stale and three days later it was completely dry. Linen doesn't "draw" moisture, at least not enough to keep the bread fresh. I'm disappointed they don't work. On the other hand, they are simple so they can be used for gift bags or storage. As for keeping bread fresh, fuhgeddaboudit.
