Great but for a beginner

Great buy! It became so easy to rip off and mix up our spare ceiling when we ripped down a few walls in our kitchen. Mix 1.5 gallons of pre-mixed dirt with 1 cup of water, then apply the sponge to the wall. Waited 20 minutes and then knocked him out with that knife. Worked great.

Facilitates cutting off large areas

This knife makes cutting off easier. Just make sure you spray some water on it before pulling. It is best stored in an upright or hanging position where there is no pressure on the blade or it can warp. Do not use hot water for this.

Great job removing the ceiling! Annoying sticker!

Excellent product. The ends are threaded for use on a pole if required. Great ceiling removal. I took off a star because of the sticker. Companies these days seem to feel the need to mark all the crap on their products with the lowest quality possible and do their best to remove the glue. Expect to spend 30 minutes cleaning it up.

Worth the money: spatula

I don't do drywall, but I often turn houses. Fixing and finishing the stone requires extra effort to make the textured walls look right and/or match the existing ones. I've used a 14 inch drywall cutter to knock it down in the past, but this tool makes it MUCH easier. You don't have to worry too much about drag or rebound, and it's even good at knocking down sprayed dirt that gets a little wet. Good tool I can only imagine what it would do in the hands of someone who really knows how to finish…

Absolute best way to fix knockdown texture

Raven did not ask or email me to review this knockdown knife. I'm so pleased with the results I'm getting that I wish everyone would be scratching their heads on how to fix "that stain" on the ceiling that it's 100% the best way. I'm not a professional but have done a lot of drywall and painting work. I had 5 or 6 spots in 3 rooms where a water leak damaged the knockdown texture on the ceiling. After trying a standard drywall knife and a "wonderful" putty knife, I finally bought one of these…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
