Better than blue!

I buy these filters for my RV when camping and for filling the fresh water tank at home. For better scores than the blues, check out The CW and Wally World.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Doesn't remove sulfur

This was a terrible product. People have asked if it removes the smell and taste of sulfur. No! Even my dog doesn't drink any water that goes through this filter. It does not matter.

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • No instructions

This water filter does a great job.

I started using HL-180 filters when I bought my first RV in the early 2000's and I'm still using them nearly 20 years later. Tried others but none were as effective as this one.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Minor issues

Best External Water Filter for RV

I have used this brand of external water filters on our RV's for many years and consider them the best on the market. It filters out a lot more things than carbon filters. Just ordered another one.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Clarity

Doesn't filter anything - Spares

I have several instruments to measure what's in the water and regular tap water is measured alongside Hydro Life water. Absolutely 0 difference. All ppm and ph were the same. This may remove some of the chlorine, but that's about it. I won't buy this again. I want my money back

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Modern

good filtration for this type of filter

I use it in my washing machine, screw it into the cold air hose. I have never had a leak and use other Starburst drinking water filters etc. The Hydrolife is rated to filter out more contaminants than many other filters in the same category and price range.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Basically OK, but...

very short life - spares

I've had good results with a few of these filters but the last one I bought was put into service a few weeks ago, the water coming out of it already smells of chlorine . . I would estimate less than 30 gallons filtered out. Bought a year ago but never removed the caps so no excuse for short life.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Works for us Air Filter and Accessories

We use this to filter all the water that goes into our RV. We connect the inlet to the campsite supply with a white hose and run the hose from the outlet end of the filter to the inlet of the fresh water tank. Connections are easy to make, standard hose connections and we think the filter does a good job of removing contaminants from the water supply.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Contact Seller

Delicious water through this filter.

We bought a new RV and previously carried several gallons of reverse osmosis water for drinking and cooking as I've always hated the taste of tank water. We bought this filter hoping it would improve the taste of the water. This filter works very well. Water tastes almost exactly like reverse osmosis water. Now we don't carry extra water with us, which reduces the weight of the motorhome.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Hard to say
