Seems accurate and easy to use. The only problem is that the glass used to hold the liquid is slightly opaque making it difficult to see the hydrometer.

Very happy with the quality! I'm still learning how to use a hydrometer but the customer service was fantastic when my first order got lost in transit. I would definitely order from their shop again. I really like that it comes with a test jar, brush and pouch/carrying case.

The product arrived and it was everything that was advertised. However, the graduated cylinder arrived with a broken base and the seller did not respond to my message to just replace the broken item. Disappointed that after a week of waiting they didn't reply.

I was able to test this with plain water and it gave me the correct readings, but I haven't tested other things. The set appears to be complete. I can clean the test glass with the brush that comes with it and put everything in the bag. I didn't try to get free videos and recipes (see product description - nobody else seems to have mentioned this part of the offer) so I can't comment on them. I'll update this review if I see any issues, but I'm not expecting anything bad. It was a good buy.

We started brewing kombucha as a hobby and wanted to find out how much alcohol it contained. We understand it's usually less than half a percent, about the same as a ripe fruit, but we wanted to be able to test this. Unfortunately, after ordering this kit and doing some research, it appears that counting alcohol in kombucha is not as straightforward as in other fermented beverages, as kombucha is a more complex chemical conversion than the standard sugar to ethanol found in beer and bugs. I just had to find one of these hydrometers. I found it accurate in a few small tests. I like to ride with the specific gravity, I'm used to it. Tested with distilled white wine vinegar 5% with a known specific gravity of 1.006. It was right at that mark as seen in picture one. The second photo was of sweet red wine. Read 2% alcohol. This is normal after fermentation. You need to take measurements before and after fermentation and then subtract the measurements afterwards to get the final…
