Description of Hydrometer Test Jar Cleaning Brush

TEST JAR FOR HYDROMETER: This glass measuring cylinder was designed for your hydrometers. You can fill the test jar with liquid such as high proof spirits, homebrew beer, wine, mead and kombucha to float your hydrometer. The height of this test jar is 12.5”, which is big enough to fit in a standard hydrometer. NARROW DIAMETER TEST JAR: The general 12” measuring cylinder usually has a diameter of 1.5”, but the diameter of our test jar is only 1.1”. You can use far less sample liquid to float your hydrometer and get the readings, which means you can reduce the liquid waste. TEST JAR WITH NO GRADUATIONS: There are no markings on the test jar to impede reading your hydrometer, so you can easily get the readings. HIGH-QUALITY GLASS HYDROMETER TEST JAR: This hydrometer test tube is made of high-quality glass, it’s sturdy and stable. The glass we use has low expansion rate, high temperature resistance, high intensity and high chemical stability. The glass is clear and therefore it’s more easy to see through the readings than using general plastic tube. WITH CLEANING BRUSH: We offer a long-grip nylon brush, which can fit in our hydrometer test tube perfectly, so you can clean the deep test jar thoroughly with ease.

Gets the job done and essential for all brewers

I've only had four batches on my homebrewing journey, but on the last two I couldn't easily follow the suggested schedule with bottling instructions. Thinking my beer was safe to bottle asked my local FB brew club group and they suggested I check my hydrometer (which I had to look up on youtube on how to do it and then buy it as my hydrometer didn't come with it the tube was delivered, except what it was packaged). My drink wasn't ready yet but it made reading my hydrometer so easy. I was told…

Pros
  • Test, measure and verify
Cons
  • High price
