Hot RGB chaos! - Data memory

Would be cool if it weren't so hot and dirty! I also bought it when it was launched and it was way more expensive for the price. I'm glad I'm not the only person with this problem. I cannot recommend this disc. If you have this drive, please switch to another drive for your operating system and important files! I love HyperX, but this one failed. Also note that the drive has 3 wires. SATA power, SATA data and micro USB. You also cannot install it on the left side.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Okay for the most part, but...

Purchase an additional SATA cable.

I bought this drive "new" and installed it. The first thing that caught my eye was the lack of a SATA cable. After finding one and installing the drive I found that for some reason it had some data on it from a previous user so I don't know how much this drive has been used but I hope it lasts a while, before it fails. I recently completed this project and the performance seems good and the RGB is really cool too.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Well made and looks great!

If you want an SSD to look cool behind the glass, there aren't many options at the time of this review. That's the coolest thing in my opinion. It's not the fastest SSD out there, but it does have decent read and write speeds compared to other SSDs. If you only need an SSD, there are cheaper options. If you want a cool RGB SSD. Look no further.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything's fine

Don't waste your money

I saw a review on YouTube that this drive has 75 LEDs which makes it overheat and unusable. I removed it from my newly built gaming rig BEFORE downloading it. I encourage others to do their research and make this call themselves.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Only available in white

Hot RGB chaos! good for computers and accessories

Would be cool if it wasn't so hot and spoiled! I also bought it when it was launched and it was way more expensive for the price. I'm glad I'm not the only person with this problem. Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Some flaws

Good SSD. Gets hot compared to non-RGB SSDs

As others have said, this card gets hot compared to non-RGB SSDs. I put one of these in my Corsair - 750D ATX full tower case. I also have a Kingston - SSDNow V300 series 120GB (no RGB) that I use for my Windows 10 boot drive and nothing else is on it. And the pricing averages between the two at the moment are as follows: Kingston - SSDNow V300 series 120GB (non-RGB) - 29 CHyperX Fury RGB SSD 240GB - 41 C It really is a difference. However, for games that are notorious for very long hard drive…

Pros
  • A Dream Come True
Cons
  • Secret

I love it so far! suitable for computers and accessories

Bought as another game disc. The drive is about as fast as it needs to be for this purpose, but if you're looking for speed for the money you probably already know this drive isn't for you as there are several cheaper drives out there that do outperform this drive, albeit for general calculations. and games, it's more than fast enough. The RGB aspect is that it offers strong appeal and looks great (wish I had a few more for the raid setup). Overall, this disc more than lives up to expectations.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • crumpled
