I'm glad I bought this. I can't use my seat belt without it. It's soft and comfortable. You don't have to remove it from your seat belt either. As long as you use that seat belt, it can stay on that belt. I didn't need a cold or hot compress, but I believe it will work due to the close proximity of your body.

This pillow was great. I only gave 4 stars because the velcro started to loosen after a few uses. If I was in the same car and didn't have to move it, it wouldn't be a problem. Otherwise it is the right size and comfort. I'll probably always leave this in my car.

This little pillow saved a life. I had surgery and my incisions were larger than my previous ones, making it harder to get up than with a cesarean. The fact that I could put ice packs in was amazing. I've worn the pillow in my clothes, stowed with a built in reservoir for support because it doesn't have anything to attach it to you (it's made for seat belts). need a second emergency operation! I recommend it! (don't forget to buy ice packs)

This cushion is fantastic! I got it a day early, bought the extra ice packs recommended here, and had stomach surgery on Thursday. The Velcro pocket can be used with cold packs of different sizes. My husband bought it for me after an endometriosis laparoscopy. I haven't had surgery yet, but I still use it because it helps with increased pain when driving. I can't wear tight jeans anymore because it hurts. A tight seat belt isn't better, of course, but this little one helps me feel comfortable on the road. From the photos and description, it was difficult to tell how large the ice pack opening was on the back of the pillow. It runs the full length and most of the width of the pillow, so you can use an extra large ice pack (see photo) and relocate it if needed. I was concerned that using multiple small ice packs would cause them to stick together, and I think that might still be the case, so we're planning on using one large gel ice pack as shown.
