This item is large enough to hold a 50 lb old Bernese Mountain Dog mix. Contrary to another review, I can confirm that a 5ft 9in male can easily operate this stroller. My Boo and I know we look downright silly with this item, but we don't care: my dog can enjoy our evening walks again!

Excellent product. Very durable and well built. The only problem I have with this cart is that the wheels are cheap plastic and don't slide easily. When on a surface that isn't very smooth, they tend to follow insects in the ground they're on and provide little to no traction. A cart that costs that much should have rubber studded wheels, not cheap plastic ones.

I love the design and color of this stroller. It folds and unfolds easily and easily fits in a small car. The pup can be loaded through the front or top of the stroller. The stroller is detachable and can be used as a stretcher. This stroller is perfect for so many reasons! They may be advertised for larger dogs BUT my short Shih Tzus love them! I have two Shih Tzu dogs, Lulu and Lyric, both older dogs (15 and 14 years old). Lulu has recently had health problems. I needed a stroller to put her in during our long walks. Lulu has a large physique and weighs 18 pounds. She feels very comfortable in it alone. Very easy to assemble. Moves smoothly. The dog in the photo is 2 years old and weighs 25 pounds. It has a place to lie down comfortably. The maximum weight limit is 55 pounds. I can't imagine a dog over 40lbs sitting comfortably but not lying down. This is opinion only as my dog is clearly 25 pounds.
