ICON RV Skylight - SL1414S - Smoke Review

A bit pricey in my humble opinion, but it is an exact replacement for the broken skylight dome on my StartCraft 1900 DBS. Love it!

Looks OK. Not super strong, but not super weak either. I live in a hot climate. I'm afraid the sun will kill him. The time will show.

I replaced my existing bathroom skylight on my 2006 Funfinder caravan. This product didn't fit as well as the original, the bubble wasn't as high and I had to cut off the inner trim ring to get it to fit. Also, the replacement is not as strong as the original.

I used this item to replace the impossible to find direct replacement for the second floor bathroom skylight in our home. These were the correct dimensions for using the old frame, although I had to make a zinc plated turn signal strut to hold it. I was very careful and used a lot of weatherproof silicone sealant so I hope it lasts another 35 years like the first one.

It was the perfect size to cover my camper roof vent (classic Santa Fe compact restoration, follow @vintage_rivalist on IG to see it). I took the transparent one and it's very strong and strong but still flexible enough not to break when some pressure is applied. I used lap sealer and self tapping screws to attach it just in time because it rained the next day. It was good.

I was pleasantly surprised by this skylight. It is crystal clear and exactly as described. The holes didn't line up where my previous ones were in my Class A RV (that's the only reason it's losing a star!) but it was easy enough to drill new ones through and it didn't break! I sealed it perfectly with Dicor, now I have a skylight over my bed to look at the stars at night! The quality is great too - it's really thick so you know it won't tear. It also arrived in a large padded shipping box.

Perfect! The skylight in our 2006 RV (bathroom shower) broke so we had to replace it. We had to paint the house and the painter just threw a regular cloth tarp over the camper to keep the spatter off and it was so brittle it ripped! This one is a lot thicker than the flimsy, cheap plastic that came originally, so it should last for many years. I installed this skylight in our Lance motorhome with roof air conditioner. Because of this massive device, the interior of the RV was dark, and we never used air as we don't camp in areas with utility lines. This skylight did exactly what I hoped it would.
