It is recognized by the Windows computer as a USB drive, just like an MP3 player, and you're free to add any MP3/WAV audio file to the internal 8M storage. Comes with button batteries LIR2032- No need any other big size battery or heavy power supply. Just press and play. Compact body with self-adhesive- Its petite figure makes it easier to do more things. And the Self-adhesive on the back makes it easy to paste on whatever you want. It can hide in anything, such as stuffed animal toys, music box, greeting card, photo frame and so on. This sound chip can be used in many things. Wouldn't grandma like a frame with an attached recording from her grandson? Or maybe your son would like a stuffed bear with a voice recording of a faraway family member saying they love him? The options are endless.

A neat unit that can be "hacked " for other uses!

This is a nice little digital recorder/player. I bought it with the idea of using it in a package or greeting card as stated on the product listing. But it soon turned into a fun little gadget that could be easily hacked. At first I couldn't get the device to play my message. Since it was late, I turned off the light and went to bed. The next morning I

Because of this, I don't have a clear idea of what the switch does. At first I thought this would switch the device from PC available to battery powered, however the onboard storage was available in either position. When I applied 5V DC the device didn't start until I flipped that switch. In one position it accepts
