Compatible with all GM LS & LT series engines 1997-current (Gen 3, 4, & 5). Tool threads into crankshaft and pushes the crankshaft pulley into position. Package includes: 1 (grade 8.8) threaded stud, 2 washers, & 1 flange nut. LS / LT Harmonic Balancer Install Tool. Simply thread the tool into the crankshaft until it seats, then tighten the nut down until the pulley is seated.

WILL NOT FIT OLD LT1 ENGINES

The title says this is for LT engines, will not fit LT engines or at least will not fit older engines like 97 LT1. other size

Works best in engines and engine parts

Works fantastic. I just lubricated the threads and washers with assembly grease, and the balancer went on. I am sure that I will use this tool often. Many Thanks.

Perfectly installed with this tool

Installed stock AC Delco balancer on LSX 5.3L. Thread the bolt into the crank head until it bottoms, lubricate the exposed bolt threads with grease, lubricate the supplied washers and nut, and tighten the nut to tighten the equalizer. Worked great, thanks.

With a little variety it would be great.

If there was something I could do about it. I would add a cap at the end. After installing my balancer, all of the threads screwed into the crank were tight and I had to work hard to get it out. The socket cap would make me feel a lot more comfortable knowing I had a way to get it back out.

Great price/functionality/fast delivery

The tool worked great, I went to the hardware store, took 10 washers and screwed them onto the bolt while she was pulling on the balancer. I also took the flexplate holder for ICT blanks. You have to put beans on the stud to suck it in and it holds steady. After that, the threads look great. I put a layer of copper on top that had never set before. Great price and functionality. win/win
