With the fast-approaching full SSD era being the norm, this adapter gives the owner of an M.2 NVMe "chewing gum" SSD, to take full advantage of this SSD in a regular 2.5 inch hard drive bay. Even though the SSD will only communicate at SATA II speeds (because it's not connected to a direct PCIe interface), it will still be a very fast little devil and will never add latency to the SATA II interface. This is a very good use for an older M.2 SSD you might have on hand, and it's good to recycle…

Pros
  • Hard Drive Accessories
Cons
  • some issues

Bad description.

This is not the product I want as it lists a 2.5" drive and is one of the few drives that actually contains an M.2 SSD. Don't call it SATA unless you have two separate connections. Waste of money and time to use this for cloning M.2. Tired of Ice Dock with their inappropriate antics.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Some issues

Very bad design and very difficult to open. You really can't use it with Windows 10 because the 'normal' SATA controllers supported by Win 10 and your motherboard don't recognize it. Product description and details are unclear and confusing.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Not everything fits

With the era of full-fledged SSDs fast approaching and becoming the norm, this adapter offers the owner an M.2 NVMe type SSD chewing gum to convert this SSD in a typical 2.5 -inch hard drive bay to take full advantage. Even though the SSD will only communicate at SATA II speeds (because it's not connected to a direct PCIe interface), it will still be a very fast little devil and will never add latency to the SATA II interface. This is a very good use for an older M.2 SSD you might have on hand,

Pros
  • . Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • There are nuances
