Idealist Review

I love how easy it was to use this site for finding my internship! It's very user friendly as well which makes me feel more comfortable about using their service in general (which has been great!). The only thing i don't like so much are all of those ads you have when scrolling through your profile page or searching by keyword/city etc.. They could make things easier if they were able to filter out some stuff but still keep what we need available!! Great website though - definitely check them…

I like how easy it is to search for nonprofits in my area by city or state! It's also nice being able to apply online without having to wait around to fill out an application if you're applying through their website vs just emailing them directly. There are not as many options available compared to other job platforms - however there aren't too many options so they still have some variety but may be limiting themselves from growing even more since most of these sites do compete against…

I like how easy it is to search for an organization in my area, and then see if there are any openings available. It's also nice that you can search by your skills or interests, which makes finding something you want to do easier. The layout of the website could be better organized. There should be more tabs at the top of the page instead of having to scroll down to access them. I have been using idealist for over 10 years to look up local nonprofits in my area of interest. The search function works really well! It's easy enough to use without creating an account but you do need one if you want more features like filtering by location or type (i.e., volunteering). There are some quirks about how it displays results which make me wonder why they haven't updated their interface since 2005-ish?
